ISEA2015 will be held at the Woodwards campus of Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, British Columbia, with art partner events happening throughout the city.
Simon Fraser University’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts is located in the historic Woodward’s mixed-use redevelopment. The Woodward’s redevelopment comprises of a full city block and is located between Abbott Street and Cambie Street, with Hastings Street to the south and Cordova Street to the North. In the nexus of Vancouver’s historical district, the city’s oldest neighbourhoods – Chinatown, Gastown, and the Downtown Eastside – are all only steps away.
Goldcorp Centre for the Arts is a ten-minute walk from Vancouver’s transportation hub, Waterfront Station, where Skytrain, Seabus, and Westcoast Express stations conduct visitors and commuters to all parts of metro Vancouver and beyond. City buses run directly from Waterfront station to the Hastings side entrance of Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.
The building can be entered from Hastings Street entrance or from the Cordova Street Courtyard of the Woodward’s redevelopment, which can be identified from afar by the red W that rotates above the Woodward’s Atrium space.
Simon Fraser University’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts is a 120,000 square-foot, multi-venue arts and culture space that houses five public venues, including a state-of-the-art 350 seat cinema, a unique theatre which can accommodate flexible staging configurations, a small concert hall, and two smaller black box theatres.
